Wow... Apple 1984 ties...

This surprised me in several ways. First was that I didn't know all the information in this video (mainly the parts about hiring ex-cops and legal charges not being brought against the "offenders"), and it was also a really awesome commercial (the first one). Anyway, I don't have much for today because I waited till the last minute to do it and so now I'm just left with a video. Hope you enjoy it (please don't kill me!).

Okay... so what? I mean, that's kind of freaky, but not overly so. Of course all componies create ad's with false information, it's what they do.

It is in fact a fairly terrible video, I just thought some of the facts were interesting.

*kills Kit* Whoops.

No, seriously, I agree with Ben--who cares? The advertising industry has changed over the years, and if it mirrors 1984, so be it. Orwell wasn't a dumb guy...

And anyway, the 1984 commercial was a dig at IBM, not at advertising. I think this is kinda forced...

Didn't apple recently release another commercial for an IPOD parodying their 1984 commercial? Where all of the people looking at the screen are listening to IPODS, and some girl tries to break the screen, and the axe just bounces off the screen. Then guards just put an IPOD on her.

Actually, you're thinking of a parody of a parody. Apple officially released a commercial in 2004 where the woman with the axe (representing Apple) is wearing an iPod. Yours sounds like an Apple-bashing commercial to me...
